Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking, participation, use of services, facilities and/or goods provided by Saddle View Stable (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or using our services you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed by payment of the applicable deposit or full fee as advised by us.

  • The balance of payment (if any) must be made by the date we specify.

  • If payment is not received by the due date, we may cancel your booking and retain any paid deposit or fees.

  • Prices quoted are inclusive/exclusive of GST (as applicable) and any variation will be clearly notified.

3. Cancellations & Changes by Client

  • If you wish to cancel or amend your booking, you must give us notice in writing (email is acceptable).

  • Cancellation fees apply as follows (for example):

    • More than 5 days before the booking: deposit refunded unless booked a non refundable service.

    • 4-5 days before the booking: The deposit is fortified.

    • Within 72 hours of the booking: 100% of the booking is fortified.

    • On the day of booking or no-show: 100% of the total cost is forfeited.

  • Amendments are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee.

4. Changes or Cancellation by Us

  • We reserve the right to cancel or amend a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, horse availability, safety issues, etc.).

  • In such cases we will (where possible) provide alternative dates or services, or refund amounts you have paid for the cancelled portion.

  • We are not liable for any additional costs incurred by you (travel, accommodation, time) as a result.

5. Health, Safety & Horse-Related Risks

  • You acknowledge that interaction with horses and equestrian services involves inherent risks of injury, loss or damage.

  • You agree to comply with all our directions, site rules, and wear appropriate gear (helmet, boots, etc.).

  • You confirm that you are physically able to participate and have disclosed any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your activity.

  • You agree to release us from liability for personal injury or property damage unless caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

6. Conduct & Rules

  • You must behave in a safe and respectful manner at all times.

  • We may refuse service or eject you without refund if your conduct is unsafe, disruptive or in breach of our rules.

  • No alcohol or illicit substances are permitted during sessions unless specifically approved.

  • You must not bring animals or equipment onto our premises without prior permission.

7. Facilities, Equipment & Property

  • Use of our facilities and equipment is at your own risk and you must follow any instructions relating to use and safety.

  • You agree to be responsible for any loss or damage caused by you (or your guests) to our property or equipment.

  • Our horses remain our responsibility at all times; you must follow instructions regarding tack, handling and safety.

8. Liability & Indemnity

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, missed opportunities, etc.).

  • You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your breach of these Terms, negligence or misconduct.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All materials, images, branding, and content provided by us are our property (or licensed to us). You must not reproduce or use them without our prior written consent.

10. Privacy

  • We collect, store and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By booking and using our services you consent to that policy.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

  • Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand (or another agreed jurisdiction).

12. Severability

  • If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.

13. Amendments

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the version in force at the time you make the booking, unless otherwise agreed.
